“The Little Prince” musical to pilot new audience aids

The long-established Tokyo musical theatre company Ongaku-za is set to pilot a new service for foreigners in which audience members will be lent free computer tablets showing synchronized English translations of the dialogue in its major award-winning musical, “The Little Prince,” based on the French writer, journalist and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s eponymous 1943 fantasy novella.

This new service will only be available for the Tokyo shows on Nov. 14 (Friday) at 7pm and Nov. 15 (Saturday) at 5pm, but unfortunately not for other Tokyo dates or performances on tour to Nagoya and Hiroshima.

In addition, for those two Tokyo shows on Nov. 14 and 15, Ongaku-za will also provide a free ticket for the accompanying carer of a ticket-holding person who needs the carer.

In order to apply for either or both of these services, please visit https://ongakuza-musical.com/works/littleprince or https://ongakuza-musical.com/2025/subtitle-assistedviewing-2.
