Tokyo Festival 2024 is this year launching an event particularly aimed at giving foreign visitors a rare close-up insight into many key roles performed both by leading artists behind the scenes and others in the spotlight every day.
The event will feature some performing, along with a special tip talk about the main branches of the festival and a backstage tour of Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre (TMET) — both in English.
The festival will also include a 2-hour shuttle taxi tour of the downtown area related to the Kabuki program of “Sannin Kichisa.” After the cultural ride, you can see the contemporary Kabuki “Sannin Kichisa Kuruwa no Hatsugai” by Kinoshita-Kabuki at TMET in Ikebukuro.
